Happy April! As I work on making some updates to Sprachmelodie over the next few weeks, we’ll take the opportunity to rewind and replay some songs that have previously been featured. Up this week – two sunny songs for spring:
Ich lieb' den Frühling
Here in Germany, the gray days of winter are finally giving way to blue skies, sunshine, and slightly warmer temperatures – der Frühling (springtime) is finally on the way!
Wie im April, wie im April
What better time than spring to “komm aus dem Winterschlaf” (come out of the winter sleep) and embark on a new adventure? In “April”, German pop singer Tim Bendzko uses the month of April as a symbol for fresh starts and new beginnings.
Liebe Grüße und bis nächste Woche!
Jessica
